Sheldon picked a house in Grace. There was no house hunting process, so it was blind to me. However, we have been able to make this house our home. I feel comfortable here and it is a great location, not 2 miles from town where Sheldon works. (Which provides a nice running route for me.) Our neighbors are fun and gave us a great price for the stay. We live by a field of cattle and some horses so we even get to enjoy the animals and plants that surround us!
Sheldon and our neighbors did a lot to clean up the house before we moved in. They fixed up the bathroom and kitchen; they painted, installed new sinks, and cleaned carpets, etc. I did a little gardening in the front to get rid of weeds and plant some new flowers. We have put some time into the place and we love it!
I love the red roof, that and the white fence make it quite charming for an old little house. We have plenty of storage and a good sized yard! My favorite part are the large windows that let in so much natural light. Its also fun to have built-in displays at the desk and kitchen. One thing that makes us laugh is the carpet. The green and orange firework pattern isn’t exactly modern. But it hides the dirt!
Just wanted to share some pictures of our little place:
